We love to try new foods. Some are great. Some don’t measure up and some become staples in our kitchen. See what you think.

Once Again Nut Butter Collective is a 100% employee-owned company in rural upstate New York. We have highlighted the brand’s peanut butter in the past. Once Again has just added two new nut and seed butters to their product line.

Maple Almond Butter is made with unblanched, organically grown, dry roasted almonds plus pure maple sugar and natural vanilla offering a creamy, slightly sweet taste. Two tablespoons have 190 calories, 16 grams of fat, 6 grams of protein, 7 grams of carb (with 3 grams of fiber and 2 grams of sugar of which 1 gram is added sugar), 140 milligrams of potassium and no sodium. This was our favorite.

Sunflower Hemp Butter is made with organically-grown, dry roasted sunflower seeds, organic sugar, organic hemp oil and salt. Two tablespoons have 210 calories, 18 grams of fat, 5 grams of protein, 6 grams of carb (with 2 grams of fiber and 2 grams of sugar of which 1 gram is added sugar), 140 milligrams of potassium and 40 milligrams of sodium.

On each label there is a white starburst to note the date the jar was opened. The brand recommends a 3-month shelf life. Both nut butters are gluten free certified, certified organic by Oregon Tilth, kosher (BVK), NonGMO Project Verified, and vegan.
