New in the Market: Nestle Pure Life DC Super Heroes Water

We love to try new foods. Some are great. Some don’t measure up and some become staples in our kitchen. See what you think.

Water makes up more than 60% of your child’s body weight and it is the cornerstone of almost every body function. Water regulates body temperature. It transports needed nutrients and oxygen throughout the body and carries away wastes. Water helps maintain blood volume and lubricates joints and body tissues like the mouth, eyes and nose. Without adequate water your child’s physical skills and ability to think and learn becomes limited. Yet, most kids do not drink enough water each day.

In order to encourage kids to drink more water Nestle Pure Life Water has partnered with Warner Bros. to use the kid-friendly DC Super Heroes collection – Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Shazam – on the labels of water bottles. The bottles are 11.5-ounces and sold as a six-pack with all characters represented in the package. The bottle size is a good portion size for kids at approximately 1½ cups. The plastic bottles are made from 100% recycled plastic and the bottle, cap and label are 100% recyclable again when empty.

As a fun feature, to encourage kids to finish all the water, there is an oval on the label and the child is told to shine a flashlight through the empty bottle to discover a super hero symbol displayed on the wall. Our young tester found this feature engaging.
