We love to try new foods. Some are great. Some don’t measure up and some become staples in our kitchen. See what you think.
pure_clustershp_saltedcaramel-300Pure was founded in 2006 to provide healthy snacks for the founder’s vegetarian daughter. All Pure snacks are USDA Organic, Certified Gluten Free, NonGMO Project Verified, kosher (OU) and soy and dairy free.
New to the Pure snack line are Crispy Clusters, nut and grain clusters. Crispy Clusters are available in three flavors. One serving of each variety is 1-ounce or one-fifth of the package.
Chocolate Pecan is made with gluten-free oats and pecans. One serving has 120 calories, 6 grams of fat, 3 grams of protein, 3 grams of fiber and 4 grams of sugar.
Honey Peanut is made with gluten-free oats and peanuts. One serving has 120 calories, 4 grams of fat, 3 grams of protein, 3 grams of fiber and 4 grams of sugar.
Salted Caramel is made with gluten-free oats, almonds and peanuts. One serving has 110 calories, 3.5 grams of fat, 3 grams of protein, 3 grams of fiber and 5 grams of sugar.
VanillaAlmond-300Pure Ancient Grains Bars are vegan. We tasted Vanilla Almond made from a combination of nuts (almonds), grains (quinoa, brown rice), seeds (amaranth, flax, hemp) and sacha inchi protein. This protein is sourced from sachi inchi seeds grown in Peru. The seeds have been used for thousands of years by inhabitants of the Amazon Rainforest because they are rich in protein and omega-3 fats. One Vanilla Almond bar (1.23 ounce) has 150 calories, 7 grams of fat, 3 grams of protein, 2 grams of fiber and 6 grams of sugar.
