Alexa – What Should My Baby Eat?

by Jo-Ann Heslin, MA, RD, CDN on April 7, 2022 · 0 comments

In late summer 2021, the USDA announced the launch of its first Alexa MyPlate skill, a digital tool for parents and caregivers of children between the ages of four and twenty-four months. Families can receive science-based food and nutrition advice on what and how to feed their child based on their age.

To access MyPlate on your Amazon Alexa device simply say Alexa enable the MyPlate Skill. This will open the MyPlate skill on your device and you will be prompted to get started. Once enabled, simply say Alexa open MyPlate.

To access MyPlate on your smartphone, download the free Amazon Alexa app to your phone. To enable the app, simply open it and say Alexa enable the MyPlate skill or hit the enable button. Once enabled, simply say Alexa open MyPlate on the app.

The USDA plans to add additional information for older children in the near future.
