New in the Market: Don Pablo Coffee

We love to try new foods. Some are great. Some don’t measure up and some become staples in our kitchen. See what you think.

Don Pablo Coffee (Ground Coffee, Whole Bean Coffee, and K-Cup Coffee from Don Pablo – Don Pablo Coffee) is a family-owned coffee company located in Miami, Florida which sources Arabica coffee beans from all over the world. Don Pablo produces a wide variety of coffees. We tasted two.

Bourbon Infused Coffee Whole Bean is made from organic coffee beans soaked in Kentucky Bourbon. The beans are then dried and roasted in small batches, evaporating the alcohol, while infusing the coffee with a natural sweetness. Though almost all the alcohol is evaporated, the brand does note that the beans do contain less than 0.5% alcohol by volume, for those who may be concerned about this issue.

Char Beanz Gourmet Dark Coffee Whole Bean is USDA Organic and has a low acidity. The organic Arabica beans are sourced from Latin American and roasted to over 450 degree Fahrenheit. Though the flavor is bold, it is full-bodied with no bitterness. This is an excellent, rich, intensely-flavored coffee.
