We love to try new foods. Some are great. Some don’t measure up and some become staples in our kitchen. See what you think.

Walden Farms which has been producing zero calorie salad dressings since 1972 is in the midst of rebranding its product line beginning with its signature salad dressings. Recipes have been reformulated to reflect more natural ingredients and improved textures. The result is an enhanced taste without calories, fat, or added sugar. The newly designed label offers a great deal of information and is worth a careful read.

All Walden Farm salad dressings come in 12-ounce glass bottles. The are kosher certified (OU) and many are vegan.

We tasted six of the salad dressings. Two tablespoons are considered 1 serving.

Chipotle Ranch Dressing has 1 gram of carb (with 1 gram of fiber) and 350 milligrams of sodium. It is creamy with a hot kick to the taste.

Honey Dijon Dressing has 2 grams of carb (with 1 gram of fiber) and 250 milligrams of sodium. It is creamy with a mild, slightly sweet flavor.

Italian Dressing has 1 gram of carb (with a trace of fiber) and 400 milligrams of sodium. It is a thinner, traditional dressing with a pungent Italian flavor.

Ranch Dressing has 2 grams of carb (with 1 gram of fiber) and 160 milligrams of sodium. Is one of the thickest of the creamy dressings with a traditional flavor.

Raspberry Vinaigrette has a trace of carb (with a trace of fiber) and 280 milligrams of sodium. It is a thinner dressing with a lovely light blush color and the taste offers the undercurrents of raspberry.

Thousand Island Dressing has 2 grams of carb (with 1 gram of fiber) and 200 milligrams of sodium. It was among the thickest of dressings with a traditional flavor.
