Tempted to try the latest diet you read about in a tabloid magazine at the checkout line in the supermarket. Before you do, ask yourself these questions.

Does it promote or ban specific foods or groups of foods?

Does it promote a one-size-fits-all approach and leave little room for individualization?

Does it promise quick weight loss?

Does it focus only on short-term results?

Does it provide long term support for weight maintenance?

Does it make weight loss claims based on personal testimonials?
