New in the Market: Dave’s Killer Bagels

We love to try new foods. Some are great. Some don’t measure up and some become staples in our kitchen. See what you think.

We highlighted Dave’s Killer Bread in the past, not only because the product was excellent but the brand had a great back story, too. After spending a number of years in prison Dave Dahl got a second chance when his brother welcomed him into the family baking business. Dave’s Killer Bread was born. Now the brand has expanded to offer a line of bagels.

Dave’s Killer Bagels are NonGMO Project Verified, USDA Organic, and kosher certified (OU). They are available in four varieties. We tried three. Each bagel is approximately 3 ounces and there are 5 bagels in a package.

Cinnamon Raisin Remix has 250 calories, 11 grams of protein, 49 grams of carb (11 of which are sugar and 3 grams fiber), and 390 milligrams of sodium.

Epic Everything has 260 calories, 12 grams of protein, 47 grams of carb (4 of which are sugar and 5 grams fiber), and 320 milligrams of sodium. This was our favorite.

Plain Awesome has 260 calories, 12 grams of protein, 48 grams of carb (5 of which are sugar and 3 grams fiber), and 420 milligrams of sodium.

One of the missions of Dave’s Killer Bread is the belief that everyone is capable of turning their life around. To that end in 2015 Dave’s Killer Bread Foundation was formed to inspire businesses to become Second Chances Employers just as their brand does, employing people with criminal records who need a second chance.

I am writing to let you know that my mom and I love these bags, but I am having a hard time purchasing them, because they always seem to be out. Guess we not the only ones that love your bagels and bread. We live in Montana. Can these be purchased online. Thank you

Ava, I am sure the brand would be delighted to know that you are a fan. Here is a link that might help you find a resource for the bagels. There is also a spot on the brand website to contact them directly. That may also be helpful.
