Royal Hawaiian Orchards which we have highlighted in the past has just introduced Macadamia Nut Milk. The macadamia milk alternative is dairy, soy, lactose, cholesterol and gluten free plus NonGMO Project Verified, vegan and kosher certified (OU).
We tasted two of the four flavors available.
Unsweetened Original has 45 calories in an 8-ounce serving, 4.5 grams of fat, no protein, sugar or fiber, 1 gram of carb, 500 milligrams of calcium, 100 IUs of vitamin D, 30 IUs of vitamin E and 150 milligrams of sodium.
Unsweetened Vanilla has 35 calories in an 8-ounce serving, 3.5 grams of fat, no protein or sugar, 1 gram of fiber, 1 gram of carb, 500 milligrams of calcium, 100 IUs of vitamin D, 30 IUs of vitamin E and 100 milligrams of sodium.
Both flavors were the consistency of low fat milk and the taste was excellent. The Vanilla flavor was lightly sweet but we preferred the Original.
