We love to try new foods. Some are great. Some don’t measure up and some become staples in our kitchen. See what you think.

Both of these brands offer a healthy way to hydrate.

1907group-3001907Water is sourced from the Kaimanawa Rangers of New Zealand where it bubbles up naturally from the ground. 1907 is the year that the original pioneers to Paeroa, New Zealand started bottling water. 1907Water is smooth, soft-tasting water with a natural alkaline range of 7.1 to 8.2. Safe, clean drinking water has a pH range of 6.5 to 8.

On the pH scale (0 to 14) 7 is neutral. Anything lower is leaning toward the acidic end and anything over 7 is more alkaline. Many feel that natural alkaline water is health promoting. Though there is no harm in regularly drinking slightly alkaline water, science has not shown that it has health promoting benefits.

1907Water bottles are 100% recyclable and BPA free (no bisphenol-A), a chemical used to make plastic that some consumers wish to avoid.

Hint Fizz-300Hint Fizz is an extension of Hint unsweetened essence water, now offered carbonated and packaged in re-sealable plastic bottles. The name says it all. Hint Fizz offers a hint of flavor and a lovely fruit aroma when you open the bottle. It has no calories and no sodium. Hint Fizz is available in 7 flavors: Blackberry, Cherry, Watermelon, Crisp Apple, Blood Orange, Peach and Grapefruit and is kosher certified (OU). Peach was our favorite.
