Why is there a big difference between the Cal & Carb contact listed in COMPLETE FOOD COUNTER (4th edition) and what is listed on the lable? Vegetable juice, salsa, Delmonte grapefruit and many more have a vast difference between your book and the lable.

Foods are reformulated all the time that is why we revise the books regularly. Usually there is not a vast difference because the foods themselves do not change drastically. In the case of generic foods that are listed, they are an average so that the counts provided would be the best estimate for any brand that may be purchased or perhaps a food that is made at home.
I am looking for a book that includes caffeine counts in food items. Do you know of one?

Caffeine is not required on most labels but some coffee, sports drinks and energy drinks do provide that information. Very few foods actually contain caffeine, and when they do, like chocolate and foods that are chocolate flavored, the amount is very small. Caffeine is found in coffee, tea, soda, cocoa, chocolate, and a number of over-the-counter medications. If you type caffeine into the search bar on the right, there are a number of articles on caffeine in our archives. Hope this is helpful.
I am looking for a book on whole foods, which contains the complete list of vitamin, mineral, & amino acid content for each food. Can you point me in the right direction?
I need a nutritional value counter book that has carbs and sodium. I have early diabetes and heart failure. I know the values I need to stick with….but I don’t want some huge book that has so many things I don’t need to know. What do you reccomend? Thanks.
