JAF Tea based in Sri Lanka, known for producing quality, hand-harvested teas since 1944, has introuced the brand into North America. JAF Tea produces a wide range of teas – black, green, flavored, and organic. What makes the brand inviting is that they package collections of the various teas that makes it easy to experiment with different tastes or to offer a special gift for a tea lover. Each tea collection includes 80 foil envelope tea bags.
We sampled JAF Tea’s Pure Green Collection. The collection included natural green tea, jasmine, mint, oolong, strawberry & kiwi, lemon & mint, mango, and soursop & banana. Every tea was excellent, and the variety allowed for sampling to decide which flavors were favorites. Ours was strawberry & kiwi.
We learned from the brand that green and oolong teas should be steeped in water just below the boiling point (194oF) for 2 to 3 minutes to bring out the best flavor.
