Hot Logic Mini

We enjoy trying new kitchen gadgets.  Some are great. Some don’t measure up and some become staples in our kitchen. See what you think.

Hot Logic Family Size and Hot Logic Mini are portable automatic ovens. Think lunchbox or larger portable insulated bag that cooks, reheats and holds food hot hours. This is an interesting portable appliance that can provide a hot meal at home, in the office or even in the car using a 75w inverter plug.

When we first heard about this product, we were somewhat skeptical – no dials, no temperature setting, no timers. It is simply an insulated bag that is plugged in and cooks, heats and holds food until you are ready to eat. Hot Logic uses a combination of patented Shelf Heating Technology and Smart Software that constantly senses temperature and regulates it to cook the food. Sealed or lidded glass, plastic, metal or paper containers can be used. Boxed frozen dinners can be placed directly into the Hot Logic bag and cooked. We tried this and it really worked. Simply put the unopened, frozen food in the Hot Logic and it cooks without venting or opening the box.

Once the Hot Logic bag is plugged in frozen or fresh food is cooked in about 2 hours, leftovers are reheated in one hour. The heating element reaches 218 degrees F which is hot enough to kills pathogens keeping food safe but not hot enough to boil. Once the unit senses the food has reached the right temperature, it will hold a constant 180 degrees F until you are ready to eat. The low-slow conduction heating gently cooks or reheats food.

Hot Logic is an innovative idea for a hot meal on the go in your vehicle or at work. The family size unit can be plugged in to provide a hot meal when you get home after a school or athletic event.
