There is evidence to show that color aids in food acceptance. The universal use of color to define the contents of sugar packets has long been accepted and people have very specific likes and dislikes for various brands. When colors were mixed up, consumers were more likely to assign their sensory finding of sweetness and emotions about a type of sweetener based on the color of the packet rather than the taste of the sweetener they were using.
