We have highlighted Stoneridge Orchards dried fruit in the past. The brand Stoneridge Orchards has recently added two reduced sugar varieties with 50% less sugar than regular dried fruit.
Reduced Sugar Whole Blueberries are moist and not overly sweet. A quarter cup serving has 130 calories, no fat, no protein, 32 grams of carb (5 grams of fiber and 14 grams of sugar including 8 grams added sugar), 5 milligrams of sodium and 60 milligrams of potassium.
Reduced Sugar Montmorency Whole Cherries – A quarter cup serving has 130 calories, no fat, no protein, 31 grams of carb (5 grams of fiber and 14 grams of sugar including 7 grams added sugar), no sodium and 80 milligrams of potassium.
The reduced sugar dried fruits are NonGMO Project Verified and kosher certified (Kof-K) The fruits are sweetened with cane sugar and stevia leaf extract which originates from a plant in South America. Stevia is over 100 times sweeter than sugar and calorie free.
Montmorency tart cherries are the most popular sour cherries grown in the US. Stoneridge Orchards is a major supplier of this cherry variety so it was a natural step to for the brand to introduce Tart Cherry Concentratein juice form. Research has shown that Montmorency cherry juice reduces muscle damage after intense exercise, is a natural sleep aid, reduces the pain of osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia, and helps to lower blood pressure.
Both Organic and All Natural Tart Cherry Concentrate are available in 16-ounce bottles. One ounce (2 tablespoons) is the recommended serving with 100 calories, no fat, 1 gram of protein, 23 grams of carb (trace of fiber and 21 grams of natural sugar), 45 milligrams of sodium and 291 milligrams of potassium.
