We love to try new foods. Some are great. Some don’t measure up and some become staples in our kitchen. See what you think.

Gaea known for its Olive Snack Packs which we have highlighted in the past has now added shelf-stable Veggie Snacks to their product line.

Veggie Snacks are lightly pickled, crisp, NonGMO Project Verified, preservative free, and packaged in 2.8 ounce reclosable packages. Veggie Snacks are sourced from Greece and come in three varieties. The package states 3 servings per package. We feel in most snacking situations the entire package will be eaten, so we have provided the nutrition information for a package.

Carrot Snack is bite-sized pieces marinated in olive oil, sea salt and lemon. There are 30 calories in a package, 6 grams of carb (3 grams of natural sugar and 3 grams of fiber) and 1,230 milligrams of sodium. Carrot Snack is kosher certified (The Jewish Community of Athens Chief Rabbinate).

Cauliflower Snack is bite-sized pieces marinated in olive oil, sea salt and lemon. There are 30 calories in a package, 1 gram of protein, 6 grams of carb (approximately 1 gram of natural sugar and 1 gram of fiber) and 1,260 milligrams of sodium. Cauliflower Snack is kosher certified (The Jewish Community of Athens Chief Rabbinate).

Gherkin Snack is tiny gherkins, about the length of a wooden matchstick but slightly thicker. They are marinated in olive oil, sea salt, garlic, coriander and vinegar. There are 15 calories in a package, 3 grams of carb (approximately 1 gram of natural sugar and 1 gram of fiber) and 1,020 milligrams of sodium. This was our favorite.
