Vea snacks, created with globally-inspired ingredients, were introduced to the market in the summer of 2017. The entire Vea line contains no artificial colors or flavors, is Non-GMO Project Verified, and kosher certified (OU).
There are three types of Vea snacks and each type is available in two varieties – Seed Crackers, World Crisps and Mini Crunch Bars. We tasted one of each type.
Seed Crackers Greek Hummus with Olive Oil – 9 crackers are one serving with 150 calories, 9 grams of fat, 4 grams of protein, no added sugar, 3 grams of fiber, 160 milligrams of sodium and 152 milligrams of potassium. Our tasters really liked this variety of Seed Crackers.
Mini Crunch Bars Thai Coconut – 9 pieces are one serving with 140 calories, 7 grams of fat, 2 grams of protein, 4 grams of added sugar, 2 grams of fiber, 150 milligrams of sodium and 95 milligrams of potassium. The Mini Crunch Bars had a mild coconut flavor and a pleasant crunchy taste.
World Crisps Andean Quinoa & Spices – 18 crisps are one serving with 130 calories, 4 grams of fat, 2 grams of protein, 1 grams of added sugar, 2 grams of fiber, 160 milligrams of sodium and 108 milligrams of potassium. Our tasters picked these crisps as their favorite.
Vea snacks are sold in 5-ounce, reclosable bags.
Kracklin’ Kamut is a snack sourced from ancient Kamut brand wheat grown in Montana. The snack has only three ingredients – organic Kamut wheat, organic high-oleic safflower oil and sea salt sourced from Utah. Kracklin’ Kamut is USDA Organic and nonGMO.
It is packaged in 1.4 ounce bags. One package has 190 calories, 6 grams of fat, 5 grams of protein, 28 grams of carb (no sugar and 3 grams of fiber), and 160 milligrams of sodium.
Kracklin’ Kamut has a crunchy, mild salty taste. The brand recommends not only using it as a snack but as a topping for salad or soup.
