50 Strong is a company based in Lima, Ohio whose mission is to make America strong by making products in America. They are so committed to this mission that 10% of the company’s profits go to support the 50 Strong Foundation which awards scholarships to those pursuing careers in manufacturing. These scholarships help people attend technical, vocational or trade school. Because the majority of the US manufacturing workforce is 45 years old or older their hope is to cultivate skills in the younger generation to bring manufacturing jobs back to American companies.
50 Strong currently makes a BPA-free line of reusable water bottles called Simply Better Bottles. Each design has a flexible plastic lanyard and the bottom of the bottle is configured to fit into a cup holder. The bottles range in size from 24 to 36 ounce capacity and come in a wide variety of colors and inspirational graphics.
