Jarred pasta sauce has to be special for us to give a brand the thumbs up. Hoboken Farms gets a big thumbs up. It is rich and thick with nice chunks of real tomato. The pasta sauce, or gravy as Italians refer to homemade pasta sauce, is made with simple ingredients and no preservatives. It comes in three flavors. All are kosher certified (Kof-K).

The pasta is packaged in a lemon infused liquid which allows it to be shelf-stable till opened. Skinny Pasta recommends draining the shape and rinsing thoroughly before cooking. Skinny Pasta is precooked and can either be microwaved, stir-fried or incorporated into a recipe. Recipes are available on the website to offer ideas for using Skinny Pasta.
We tried the Fettuccine and Couscous shapes. Stir-fried without added ingredients both were bland with a slippery, chewy mouthfeel. Integrated into a recipe Skinny Pasta is far more appealing. We have tried other konjac pastas and found Skinny Pasta superior to other brands.
