We love to try new foods. Some are great. Some don’t measure up and some become staples in our kitchen. See what you think.
Ravino Ravioli is a family owned business that produces handcrafted ravioli. The ravioli are frozen with 12 pieces to a box that are carefully packaged to prevent breaking. We found the pasta firm, not soft, which keeps the pieces intact during cooking. We had no breakage during cooking in the four flavors we tried.
Cheese – is made with ricotta and parmesan cheese. Four ravioli have 170 calories, 8 grams of fat, 10 grams of protein, 12 grams of carb, 290 milligrams of sodium and 200 milligrams of calcium.
In the remaining three flavors, cheese was not the dominate ingredient which truly brought out the individual flavors of the ravioli variety.
Chickpea & Kale – Four ravioli have 130 calories, 6 grams of fat, 6 grams of protein, 13 grams of carb, 180 milligrams of sodium and 100 milligrams of calcium. This was our favorite variety.
Mushroom & Fontina – This variety is made with crimini, white and shitake mushrooms. Four ravioli have 110 calories, 4 grams of fat, 5 grams of protein, 13 grams of carb, 105 milligrams of sodium and 80 milligrams of calcium.
Spinach & Ricotta – There is more spinach than ricotta in these ravioli. Four ravioli have 150 calories, 8 grams of fat, 7 grams of protein, 12 grams of carb, 150 milligrams of sodium and 150 milligrams of calcium.
