If The Food Is In A Box Leave It On The Shelf

Highly processed foods – cookies, chips, candy, prepared meals, pizza, and seasoned and sauced vegetables – make up more than 60% of the calories we buy and these foods usually have more fat, sugar and salt than fresh foods. Buy instead, fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables, milk, eggs, dried beans, and fresh meat, fish or poultry. Ready-to-eat foods are a major source of calories in the US diet and most have a poorer nutrient profile than foods cooked at home.
