Over its 80 year history V8 Juice has continually enlarged and improved their juice line. Introduced in early 2015 are Veggie Blends, new to V8’s fruit and vegetable line. Veggie Blends are available in four interesting flavors. Each 8-ounce serving has 60 calories, provides 75% juice, and is equal to 1(1/2 cup) serving of vegetables. There are no added sugars or preservatives. Veggie Blends are available in 12-ounce and 46-ounce bottles. They can be found on the juice aisle of the supermarket.
Carrot Mango contains the juice of carrots and mango.
Golden Goddess contains the juice of yellow and orange carrots, sweet potatoes, and orange juice.
Healthy Greens contains the juice of spinach, yellow carrots, apple, pineapple, cucumber, celery, kale, romaine lettuce, and green peppers.
Purple Power contains the juice of purple carrots, beets and apples.
Red Jacket Orchards in upstate New York has been producing cold pressed, unfiltered juices, without added sugar, since 1958. Red Jacket juice takes the approach that less is more. The ingredients are few but the flavor is rich and bold. Because the juices are unfiltered, they appear cloudy and you are advised to shake well. This method maintains the natural fiber and nutrients in the fruit. We tasted two new flavors.
Joe’s NY Style Lemonade was developed by the patriarch of this family owned business. It can be best described as a lemon-apple-ade, made simply of apple juice and lemon juice, fortified with vitamin C.
Cranberry Apple Juice has just two ingredients which offer a nice flavor blend. The apple juice mellows the tart cranberry juice.
Both are 100% juice. An 8-ounce serving of either flavor has 120 calories, 30 grams of sugar (all natural sugar from the fruit), 3 grams of fiber, 8 milligrams of sodium, and 135 milligrams of potassium. The juice is kosher certified (OU).
