We love to try new foods. Some are great. Some don’t measure up and some become staples in our kitchen. See what you think.

We have highlighted (Garden Lites Vegetables dishes) and have followed the evolution of Garden Lites as the brand expanded (New in the Market: Garden Lites Superfood Veggie Cakes, Veggie Chili & Cornbread, and Waffles) and developed new products. The most current product is a new frittata breakfast option.

Garden Lites Frittatas come in two varieties. We tasted Egg White Spinach Frittatawhich comes frozen, 6 to a package, each individually wrapped. One frittata has 70 calories, 4 grams of fat, 5 grams of protein, 5 grams of carb (1 gram of sugar, 1 gram of fiber and no added sugar), 190 milligrams of sodium and 98 milligrams of potassium. Our tasters liked this product but agreed that one was not enough as a breakfast choice.

Frittatas can be heated in the microwave or in the oven. They are gluten free and kosher certified (OU).
