We love to try new foods. Some are great. Some don’t measure up and some become staples in our kitchen. See what you think.

Finlandia,a subsidiary of Valio, Ltd., known for producing butter and quality cheese products since 1905 when a group of Finland’s dairies joined together to form a co-operative. Finlandia, founded in the 1950s, has introduced individually wrapped SnackTime Cheese Sticks, in three varieties. All of them were equally excellent and would be a good snack or lunchbox addition. The choice of which to buy would be up to individual preference.

SnackTime Cheese Sticks come 9 sticks to a package and each stick is 0.7 ounces (21 grams). One cheese stick equals a serving.

Cheddar& Gruyere has 70 calories, 6 grams of fat, 5 grams of protein, no carb, 142 milligrams of calcium, 16 milligrams of potassium and 140 milligrams of sodium. This variety is sourced from Estonia.

Gouda has 80 calories, 6 grams of fat, 6 grams of protein, no carb, 189 milligrams of calcium, 18 milligrams of potassium and 125 milligrams of sodium. This variety is sourced from Estonia.

Gouda & Parmesan has 80 calories, 6 grams of fat, 5 grams of protein, no carb, 147 milligrams of calcium, 13 milligrams of potassium and 150 milligrams of sodium. This variety was our favorite and is sourced from Finland.

Many lactose intolerant individuals do not realize that aged cheeses are often lactose free. All three SnackTime Cheese Sticks are naturally lactose free because the active cheese cultures break down the lactose during the aging process. They are additionally made with nonGMO ingredients according to EU (European Union) regulations.
