New in the Market: Funkins for Kids

by Jo-Ann Heslin, MA, RD, CDN on September 18, 2018 · 0 comments

We enjoy trying new kitchen gadgets.  Some are great. Some don’t measure up and some become staples in our kitchen. See what you think.

Funkins was founded by a Mom who was looking to reduce school lunch waste. The company makes washable, neoprene lunch bags and 100% cotton, reusable napkins and placemats. The bags are spacious and sturdy but fold flat for storage or to return home in a bookbag. We received a sample of the dinosaur lunch bag set but other patterns are available that might be more age-appropriate for older children. Each item has a sewn-in label to write your child’s name to ensure they will make their way home.

Funkins can custom design items with a school logo or child’s artwork. They are produced in Canada.
