We love to try new foods. Some are great. Some don’t measure up and some become staples in our kitchen. See what you think.

Jerky is one of the fastest growing high-protein meat snacks. Jack Link’s, began in the late 1880s when the current CEO’s great grandfather brought his old-world sausage recipe with him to America. The old family recipes grew to be the largest meat snack business in the world, but it is still family-owned and operated.

The company recently introduced Beef Steak Strips. These 0.9-ounce snack bars are made from lean beef sourced from New Zealand and are available in two flavors.

Original and Teriyaki – Each steak strip has 70 calories, 2 grams of fat, 8 grams of protein, and 6 grams of sugar. Original has 420 milligrams of sodium and Teriyaki has 550.
