We love to try new foods. Some are great. Some don’t measure up and some become staples in our kitchen. See what you think.

Dolcedi is a liquid, low glycemic index (22.5) sweetener made simply from concentrated organic apple juice. It is sourced from Italy, kosher (Star-K), USDA Organic, NonGMO Project Certified, and sold in a 12.34-ounce bottle with a no drip spout. It has a neutral sweet flavor and dissolves easily in beverages both hot or cold. One half teaspoon (4 grams) has 12 calories, 3 grams of natural sugar and no sodium.

The company recommends using it in place of sugar or honey. Because Dolcedi is slightly sweeter start with a little less to achieve your desired taste.  Our tasters enjoyed this product, a little goes a long way.

Though Dolcedi is not a zero-calorie sweetener, it could provide an alternative sweetener for those with diabetes if used in small amounts.
