New in the Market: Rojo’s Organic Salsa

We love to try new foods. Some are great. Some don’t measure up and some become staples in our kitchen. See what you think.

Rojo’s Organic Salsa, sold in the refrigerated section of the supermarket, is as close to homemade salsa as you can get.

We tasted Rojo’s Organic Salsa, Traditional Mild, Traditional Medium and Chipotle Medium all of which will debut on the market in the spring of 2017. Traditional Mild was our favorite. The medium salsas had quite a kick. All are USDA Organic, gluten free, and kosher certified (OK).

One serving, 2 tablespoons, has 5 calories, no fat, cholesterol or protein, 1 gram of carb (of which 1 gram is sugar found naturally in the vegetable ingredients), and 160 milligrams of sodium.

If you like salsa, this brand is worth a try.
