How to Hack Your Snacks

A whole, unpeeled apple is a perfect snack – it’s high in the fiber pectin which helps fill you up and lowers your cholesterol.

Eat popcorn – low in calories (25 in a cup), low in fat and high in fiber (it’s a whole grain). It offers the satisfaction of chewing but go easy on the butter and salt.

Are you a nervous nosher? When you have the urge to snack, wait 10 minutes and get involved in something else. We often shift gears through food. The pause might help you forget about eating.
