Use up leftovers

Food costs have grown 30% in the last 10 years. Use leftover meat or poultry to top a salad and put vegetables in a soup or casserole. Leftover fruit can become part of a morning smoothie when paired with yogurt and a few ice cubes. Throwing food away is like throwing money in the trash.
