i recently bought the 4th edition of “The Complete Food Counter and am very disappointed in it!! You left out alot of items that were in the 3rd edition.. And the shocker was you left out Arby’s and Wendy’s in the restaurant chains!! You should not delete any items from previous editions but keep adding new items. That’s what i look for.. In the restaurant Chain section why not add The Cheesecake Factory and show how crappy their foods are! I’ll go look at the Most Complete Food Counter and see what thats like.. thanks for reading this. I will look forward to the 5th edition of the Complete Food Counter.. Sincerly Lynda Lambert

Sorry you are disappointed but it is impossible to put every food in every counter. We track thousands of foods and our publisher decides how big a book can be. Often foods are not updated and we do not want to provide our readers with old data. Other times information is not available. Many restaurant chains do not provide data or they only give limited information because currently this is not required by law. I there are any specific foods you are looking for and we can provide information, let us know and we will be happy to help.

I have your “The Complete Food Counter”, 3rd Edition. Do you have a program (similar to Calorie King?) I can use on my iphone? I always remember to take my cell phone, but not always the book. I find using my cell phone to log information quicker & more private. Plus it enables me to stay within my range. I find that its not easy locating foods on Calorie King, and would think your books would be great information to be put on mobile devices for logging and printing.

I purchased ‘The Most Complete FOOD COUNTER’ but I could not find a couple of the items I was looking for such as ‘pineapple’ and potatoes. The index goes from Milk on page 438 to Pudding on page 535. I realized I am missing pages 439 to 534. Is there any way you could send these page to me. I purchased this copy at Barnes & Noble but no longer have the receipt, plus I’ve had the book about 2 months now. Please reply, I am so disappointed when I saw the missing pages. I actually thought I was using the book incorrectly until I looked at the page spans. Thank You, Helen Capewell – 12-21-2013

Take the book back to Barnes & Noble. There is not question you should get a replacement. This book was damaged in production. If for any reason you do not get positive results, please let us know and we will help you solve the problem.

I just bought Calorie Counter from Amazon and I can’t find a lot of every day foods that I use a lot as I am in an Assisted Living Place and must eat the food they serve. Two of the things I noticed today were corn on the cob, fresh and just plain old toast. Also different flavors of ice cream, in particular, Blue Bell. Everything that seems to be llisted is a particular manufacture brand name. Very little with just plain old every day food. Maybe I am not looking in the right place. But I searched in many different subjects. Also the Apple Bee Restaurant is not mentioned. Is there another book I am missing? Please advise. Thanks.

My edition is 2013. Blue Bell does have its labeled and that helps.
I also looked for Promise butter spread in the small table containers. They
say they have 0 fats, 0.5 sat. fat and 0 cholesterol, but no calories.
Also I am not interested in all the other things, not a diabetic.

The new books you mentioned are of no interest to me. I just ant a plain old calorie book on every day foods. Cannot find many, many things in this book.

I think that everything published was actually very reasonable.

But, consider this, what if you were to create a awesome title?

I mean, I don’t want to tell you how to run your blog, however what if you added something that grabbed folk’s attention? I mean Books by the
Nutrition Experts — The Nutrition Experts is kinda vanilla.
You could peek at Yahoo’s home page and note how they create news headlines to get viewers interested.
You might try adding a video or a pic or two to
grab people interested about everything’ve got to say.
In my opinion, it might bring your website a little bit more interesting.

Do the sugar counts in the 2nd edition only include “added” sugar, but not naturally occurring sugar? Fresh Apple on page 51 shows 0 sugars, but FDA shows over 10 grams of sugar for an apple.
