Fast Food Fact: Tea Helps Hearts

A Chinese proverb says, “Better to be without food for three days than tea for one.” That could be a very wise adage. It has been shown that heart attack survivors who drank 2 or more cups of tea a day reduced their risk of death over the next 4 years by 44%. The benefits held with black, green, hot, iced, bagged and loose tea – the stronger the brew the better.
